Welcome to FACS with Phillips!

I have been teaching at MHS for 15 years; this is my 19th year teaching. I LOVE my job! #i♥myjob #i♥FACS

I have a Bachelor's degree from University of Idaho in Family Life Education, a Master's from City University of Seattle in Integrated Technology, and am nationally certified in Family and Consumer Sciences with an emphasis in Human Development and Family Services.

I have a passion for early childhood education, advocating for quality early learning experiences for all children in the state of Idaho, and educating my students on developmentally appropriate practices in an early learning environment. The most exciting part of the early childhood education program for me is watching students' own investment in the profession and witnessing my students' transition into quailty early learning educators with positive guidance techniques, integration of best practices in the classroom, and innovative experiences for children throughout the three-year program. Although students can earn college credit through this program, my goal is to add a Child Development Associates credential to program outcomes for students.
