    Students will watch part of a video (NovaScienceNow:58) which can be found on Youtube. They will watch the segment titled: Birth of the Solar System (minutes 2:20-15:00) and answer the video questions. They will then read pages 176-190 and answer Unit 4, Lesson 1 questions.

    Today students will watch a video on the movement of the solar system (Youtube: The helical model - Our solar system is a vortex) and one on the scale of the solar system (Scale model of the solar system- scaleofuniverse.com/scale-model-of-the-solar-system/). Students will discuss the information from the scale model activity and the videos watched today. We will then take notes on the lecture "How do we know what we know?", then begin working on their drawings and research paper on the diffferent models of the universe/solar system.

    Today students will finish the lab on size scales of the solar system, then watch a YouTube video: "The helical model - our solar system is a vortex". The rest of the period will be spent finishing up assignments and re-does.
