Master of Arts, Teaching
I considered teaching my souls calling. I absolutely love kids and teaching them how to be lifelong learners is my motivation. Kids have unlimited potential and I admire their tenacity and willingness to push themselves to be the best version of themselves. They inspire me daily and I considered myself lucky to spend my days guiding them to grow.
This is my 13th year teaching in the West Ada School District. This is my 11th year in 3rd grade and previous to that I taught 2nd grade and special education. I grew up here in Boise, attending Borah High, BSU (BA History), and later George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon (MA Teaching).
I enjoy music in all forms. I play the viola and I am learning to play the guitar. I also enjoy writing, the mountains, and spending time with my beautiful Golden Retriever’s Semper and Sophia. I have a love for plants; I enjoy the peace of playing in the dirt in general, and adore gardening.
