Mrs. Kimbrough’s Tuesday Letter 5/24—5/26/2017
Here is the 4th grade curriculum we’ll be covering this week:
Math- We will review 4th-grade concepts through the end of the year.
Reading- We had our last Vocabulary and Comprehension over “The Fun They Had” today.
** Keep having your child read 30 minutes per night! Planners will be checked tomorrow for our last Fun Friday of the year!! (Remember our fluency goal is 140 words per minute by the end of the school year!)
Spelling- List 29 test will be Friday 5/26.
Idaho History—We are completely finished with Famous Idahoan presentations now and playing the Oregon Trail Game!
**We had a WONDERFUL day at the Rendezvous last Friday! Thanks so much to the parent volunteers who came with us, sent coolers, and hauled our lunches. We couldn’t have done it without you!!
Library books were due 5/22! If your child has not yet returned his/her school library books, please do so ASAP!
This will be the last week for signing reading minutes in planners and spelling tests.
The 125 miler field trip is this Thursday (TOMORROW!) for those students who earned it. Please make sure the permission slip is filled out, signed, and returned to school ASAP. Your child will need a sack lunch, swimsuit, towel, active clothes, and tennis shoes for this YMCA field trip.
If your child ordered a yearbook they will be arriving at school very soon.
There is no school next Monday, May 29thbecause it is Memorial Day.
If your child made the Dream Mile, it will be Thursday, June 1st at 9:20.
Field Day is Wednesday, May 31st from 1:30-3:30. Mrs. Stoor is still in need of more parent volunteers. If you are able to volunteer, please let Mrs. Stoor know. Thanks!
The family picnic will be the last day of school, Friday, June 2nd at noon. No lunch will be served that day, your child will need a sack lunch or can order a sack lunch from the cafeteria if needed.
Thank you Mrs. Gieser for being our incredible Art Mom this year!! And to all of you other amazing volunteers—I could NOT have managed without you!!
Since this will most likely be the last letter of the school year, I want you to know how much I’ve enjoyed your incredible children!!! Thanks for supporting them (us) so much and helping make this a wonderful journey!!
