Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Jennifer Stoor

Voted #1 Idaho Elementary Physical Educator of the Year

I was born and raised in Fruitland, Idaho participating in all the sports available; basketball, volleyball, track, softball and golf.  I played basketball at the local junior college, Treasure Valley Community College. I went on to Boise State (Go Broncos!) to earn my B.S. in Physical Education. I married Jerel who helps me find new adventures here in Idaho!  We enjoy skiing, snowmobiling, rafting, hiking, and camping.  I love playing golf, bowling, tennis and biking on my cruiser.  I even competed in bass fishing tournaments and one of my favorite activities is Steelhead fishing on the Salmon River.  We have two sons that enjoy a very active lifestyle too! This is my 23nd year of teaching and I helped open Ponderosa in 2002.  Knowing my students are getting up each morning excited about physical education or participating in our walk/run program Pacers, keeps me motivated and excited too!  I want students to find their passion; that spark that keeps them ablaze down their path toward a healthy life. My motto is to "Make it fun or it won't get done!  Play!"  I am thankful to see these students Kindergarten through 5th grade and see their lives transform physically, mentally, socially and emotionally.  Now more than ever, I am passionate about shaping healthier futures not only for my students, but my children.

This year will be different but I am confident that my students will find ways to be active and get their daily 60 minutes!
