Kristi Kakalow-Buxton

I have been a teacher for 29 years, I have taught kindergarten for 24 years.  I graduated from the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!) and went on to get a Masters Degree in Special Education.  I believe a kindergarten classroom should be active and child-centered.  Kindergarteners need to be moving, creating, and exploring every day.  I have a high energy room where all children are successful.

I've been married to my wonderful husband, Michael, for 25 years.  We have two children, Emma and Colin.  My daughter Emma is a nursing student at BSU.  My son Colin is a senior at Renaissance High School.  We have two dogs named Shubah and Barnaby.  I love crafting, baking desserts, and eating donuts!!

"It is stillness we have to justify, not movement."
