Mrs. Carmi Scheller

I moved to Boise from Norman, Oklahoma July 2008 with my husband Brian and our children Andrew and Tess. This is my twenty-ninth year teaching. I have enjoyed teaching first, fourth/fifth multiage, Kindergarten, fifth, being a school library media specialist and an Instructional Coach. A few summers ago I worked with second grade. So, I have directly instructed every elementary grade except third! while in Oklahoma I also had the wonderful experience of teaching at the University of Oklahoma as an adjunct instructor. I have a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and a Masters of Library and Information Sciences both from the University of Oklahoma.  Boomer Sooner!   I achieved National Board certification in 2006. I had the honor of being Star Teacher of the Year in 2016. I'm very proud of my son and daughter. Andrew graduated from Eagle High School June 2018 and Tess will be graduating from ISucceed Virtual High School in October 2018. They are both working and continuing to advance in their schooling. Not only are they meeting those demands but they are just plain ole cool people to be around.  I love to travel, explore, read and write. I love teaching 4th grade at Star Elementary. This will be my 6th year enjoying 4th grade here and the best school team in the state.

I am looking forward to a great year of learning together. You can reach me at scheller.carmi@westada.org
