Degrees and Certifications:
Miss Amy Hirsch
My Name is Amy Hirsch. I want to start off by saying, that I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know both you and your children.
Just to tell you a little about myself. This is my third year teaching 4th grade at Ustick Elementary. Previously, I was a teacher at Huntington Learning Center for five years. With having the opportunity to work at a tutoring center, I have gained experience, as well as a love for helping and guiding students to reach their full potential. I have learned multiple strategies and techniques that are crucial to meet the needs of a variety of learning styles.
I am planning on a school year full of excitement and purpose and I am glad that you will be a part of it. My hope for this year is for your children to continue their growth as a student, as well as become a dedicated group member. In order to have a successful classroom, I believe that we must work together as a class. I want your children to feel comfortable having a voice in my class. I also believe that is important to meet students where they are, and so I plan to quickly learn the individual needs of each of your children and plan my lessons accordingly.
I am excited to teach your children all the wonderful concepts they will learn this year! Students will be given the opportunity to participate in a variety of exciting activities that promote learning and comprehension. On a weekly basis, students will rotate through centers that will give them a chance to work in small groups. In addition to centers, I will have a variety of whole class lessons that will cover and exceed the expectations of fourth grade standards.
