Ms. Alison Ruoff
I have been teaching for 18 years with 15 years spent in an all-day Kindergarten program. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Early Childhood Development and Kindergarten from Northern State University. I have a Master's Degree in Educational Technology, a Master's Certificate in K-12 Online Teaching and in May of 2018 I graduated again from Boise State University with my Ed.S degree (Education Specialist in Educational Technology).
I love my job and couldn't imagine doing anything else. I am originally from South Dakota and have been teaching in Idaho since 2008. I feel very lucky to get to work with some of our youngest in hopes of inspiring a lifelong passion for learning. Hooray for Kindergarten!
I actively seek out and write grants for my classroom and since 2008 I have received close to $25,000 from organizations including Micron, Meridian Education Foundation, CenturyLink, the Idaho State Department of Education, Idaho National Laboratory (INL), and Capital Educators. I was honored to receive the 2014 Educator on Fire award at the Women Ignite Idaho Conference. I feel my job as educator is to inspire greatness in my students and to help them realize their dreams through learning.
