Mrs. Jacqueline Kober

Hello and WELCOME to fourth grade!
I am looking forward to another year of teaching elementary school and working with young people!  My hope is that my students will develop a life-long love of learning well beyond fourth grade.  I am passionate about teaching the whole child.  I strive to meet the academic needs of each individual student as well as instill the character traits that will help them to keep moving forward, feeling successful, and reaching their full potential!
I began working for West Ada school district as the Safe School Assistant at Chaparral Elementary school.  The following year I was offered the opportunity to teach first grade there.  I was excited to embark on a new adventure at Discovery Elementary and a traditional school calendar after having such a wonderful time at Chaparral and its year-around schedule!  After teaching first grade at Discovery last year I am moving up to fourth grade this year!
In case you would like to know a little about my background.  I grew up in the Southeast corner of Idaho near Bear Lake.  I graduated from Boise State University in 1993 with my degree in Elementary Education.  My daughter and son are the proud products of a West Ada education and have since graduated from Meridian High School. My daughter attends BSU and my son is in the Army. My husband Jim and I will be celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary in September.  We like to spend our free time cycling, hiking, skiing, camping, and playing in the beautiful state of Idaho!
I am very excited to meet my new fourth grade family this year!  I look forward to getting to know you and working with you, so together we can make this a happy school experience and enjoyable fourth grade year for you and your student!
