• Reminders -

For your students safety, students should not arrive on school grounds until 20 minutes before school starts (8:45 am) and must exit school grounds no later than 20 minutes (3:50 pm) after the final bell. School personnel are not available for supervision outside of those times.

    Tardies -

We understand that an occasional tardy is a way of life; however, please continue to be conscientious about getting students to school on time. Very little time at school is down times these days. When students come in late, they miss attendance, lunch counts, and instructions for the first part of the morning.

Attention Parents: When dropping of your child late to school, please do not just drop them off and leave. You need to come into the school and sign them in.

Donnell will be enforcing District Policy for all attendances. If a students arrives at school between 9:05 - 10:35 or is checked out of school between 2:00 - 3:30 the student will be marked as tardy. If a student misses more than one and a half hours of instructional time (excluding lunch) this becomes an absence. If you have any questions, please refer to the Joint School District No. 2 Elementary Student - Parent Handbook.

Cell Phones and Electronic Devices -

The Joint School District No. 2 Elementary Student - Parent Handbook details general policies and procedures which Christine Donnell School of the Arts follows. Below is a brief summary of the policy that applies to electronic devices and cell phones. Please refer to the above handbook for the complete policy.

Summary - Cell phones are not to be visible or heard in the school building. First violation will result in the confiscation of the cell phone, to be retrieved by the parent/guardian. Subsquent violations will lead to further disciplinary actions as deemed by the school administration.

Students who bring any electronics devices to school do so at their own risk. The school assumes no liability. If the policies are violated, administrators will determine consequences based on the severity of the incident.
