Andrew Percifield, Director of Choirs
Welcome to the homepage for the Mountain View High School Choirs. My name is Andrew Percifield and I am in my second year as Director of Choirs. I am excited to be part of the Maverick community! I have had countless memorable experiences with students and singers in my choirs through the last 21 years of my career (there are so many great people out there!) and look forward to creating great music and memories with my future students MVHS. I am a graduate of the College of Idaho, received my master's degree in Conducting and Pedagogy from the University of Iowa, and completed my doctoral coursework and recitals in Conducting at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory. I love living here and working with the singers at Mountain View.
MVHS has six choirs that are available for students, two non-auditioned choirs, and four auditioned choirs. Specific information regarding each of the choirs can be found through the individual choir links found in the column on the left. Auditions for the upcoming year are held during the week following spring break. All 9th-grade singers will be placed in either Cantare or Men's Choir, while returning students may advance by audition into one of the Varsity level choirs. All choirs are year-long courses, requiring students to be enrolled for both the first and second semesters.
