Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Kristen Goodfellow
Welcome sixth grade families! I am so excited to begin the year together. I am so thrilled to begin my eighth year at Heritage. It is my passion to guide students through the learning process. I am excited to share my enthusiasm for reading and writing with you this year!
In 2012 I graduated from the University of Idaho with a degree in education. I spent the following two years teaching various grades as a substitute teacher in Moscow, Idaho. After my husband graduated from Washington State University we decided to move to Meridian in search of new job opportunities. I could not have been happier to have found a position at Heritage! I also have two children; a daughter who recently turned five and a son who is almost two. They keep life exciting! In my spare time I enjoy reading, board games, and cooking.
In sixth grade we will do multiple novel studies and a variety of writing tasks. I incorporate a lot of blended learning into my classroom and love finding new ways to engage students in their learning.
Sixth grade is a big year for transition and change! Rest assured that I am ready to help you ease into this new environment and to support you as you embark on this middle school adventure.
