I am back full time at Desert Sage, following 12 weeks of maternity leave. I am your contact for questions about community resources for mental health services, housing assistance, food and clothing needs, and school supplies.
I am a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University, Tacoma, Washington, where I received a B.A. in English with an emphasis in creative writing. From 1997 to 1999 I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer teaching English as a foreign language to high school students in Latvia, Eastern Europe. That experience inspired me to become a school counselor. I went on to pursue my master's in counseling from Boise State University, graduating in 2004. I also carry my professional license in counseling (Licensed Professional Counselor--L.P.C.)
I have been working as a school counselor for 12 years--10 of those I have had the pleasure to serve at Desert Sage Elementary.
