Mrs. Leininger

Thank you for taking the time to visit my homepage. My name is Karina Leininger, and I look forward to being your child's teacher this year. The 2019-2020 school year will be my fourth year teaching fifth grade at Prospect Elementary. Previously, I was an elementary school librarian at a K-5 school. I believe in welcoming all learners into a safe, engaging, and collaborative classroom environment. I am passionate about helping all of my students find books that will spark a love for reading, incorporating technology to enhance learning and collaboration opportunities in the classroom, and helping students become confident and independent learners in preparation for middle school success.  My classroom offers alternative seating for students, digital tools that enhance learning, and frequent opportunities for students to move around and collaboratively work in groups and pairs. In my classroom, students take ownership of their learning by taking responsibility for their own learning and grades. I look forward to getting to know your child and working with you to ensure your child's academic, social, and emotional success.
