Siena students are taking technology into their own hands! West Ada School District recently introduced a new program called "Bring Your Own Device" which allows students to bring personal devices for use in the classroom. Students are creating and producing collaborative projects, publishing their writing using digital story board apps, and personalizing their learning using interactive lessons apps. Students are also using the iPads in conjunction with the Promethean Smartboards that our PTA has purchased with the money from the 100% Fundraiser. This feature allows students to interact with lessons and demonstrate their understanding of concepts in real time, which in turn guides more effective instruction.
If you are interested in having your student bring a personal device to use in the classroom please read through the district "Bring Your Own Device" policy and sign and return the parent permission form.
