Mrs. Erica Stadler
Hello! My name is Mrs. Erica Stadler and I moved in June 2014 from Phoenix, Arizona, to Boise, Idaho. 2014-2015 was my first year at Gateway, teaching kindergarten through fifth grade EL. Though I have experience teaching and tutoring ages from preschool to high school, this is my twelfth year teaching. In Phoenix, I taught third grade for five years, then moved to a charter school to teach second grade for three years. I absolutely love teaching and I'm a lifelong learner. I have my Bachelors in Liberal Studies, with an emphasis in elementary education, and my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction of Reading and Language Arts. I hope to one day receive my PhD in Children's Literature. I have been trained thoroughly in cooperative learning strategies and have mentored beginning teachers and student teachers. I try to make learning fun and engaging with costumes, personalities, puppets, and other crazy classroom delights! I am fluent in American Sign Language and know polite French.
I spend my free time with my three little girls and my husband. I love to drink coffee, eat nachos, and read, read, read. I am a children's literature enthusiast and was even in a Reading Young book club made up of adults reading young adult literature.
So far, I've loved living in Boise, Idaho. I'm glad to be out of the heat and into the four seasons!
