• 8th Grade Boys Basketball



    Sign-ups will occur during the 2nd week of December and all paperwork is due by December (TBD).

    Practice will begin January 6. 

    There will be an "A" team, a "B" team, and "C" teams
     
    There will be a mandatory parent/player meeting January 7 after practice.

    The $90 district athletic fee is due by January 8th. (District athletic fee waived if two sports have previously been paid). 

     
     
    7th Grade Boys Basketball 
     

    Parents,

    We had an informational meeting on February 21 about the upcoming 7th grade boys’ and girls’ basketball seasons and wanted to send you a little more information. 

    Practices will start on Wednesday March 4.  Those interested in participating need to be dressed and ready to go in good gym shoes and athletic clothing.  The schedule for the first week will be 3:30-5:00 on Wednesday and Thursday (3/4-5) and 3:30-4:30 on Friday (3/6).  The coaches will give more information about practice times for the rest of the season when practice starts. 

    Those interested in playing need to return the participation/code of conduct/medical history form that was handed out this morning. If your student was not at the meeting and would like to participate, you can print off the participation/code of conduct/medical history form from our Athletic. Boys will need to return their forms to Coach DuPree and girls can return them to Coach Smith.

    If your son or daughter is interested in participating, you will also need to purchase an Activity Card for $22.26 (this may have been purchased earlier in the year if your son or daughter has already participated in a sport at Lake Hazel).  You will also need to pay the District Participation Fee.  For 7th grade basketball, that fee is $60 (this is a short season).  If your son or daughter has already participated and payed for two other sports and Lake Hazel this school year, this participation fee is waived.  If your son or daughter would like to join the Track/Field or Tennis teams after the end of the basketball season, then the participation fee is $90.  They will join Track/Field or Tennis after the basketball season ends. These fees will need to be paid before your son or daughter will receive a uniform.

    There will be an "A" team, with the rest of the players creating equal "B" teams.  
     
    Practice will begin on March 4.  Game dates and sites TBD.
     
    There is a $60 district participation fee - due by March 4 (District athletic fee waived if two sports have previously been paid).  Athletes also need to have purchased an activity card.
     
    Athletes who would like to also participate in Track or Tennis can join those teams after the end of the basketball season.  If that happens, the participation fee for the other sport will be $30.
