Email is the best way to reach me. I'm busy with the kiddos so I typically check voicemail at the end of the day once school is released. If your message is urgent, please call the front office so they can relay it.
Hello! My name is Stephanie Lewis and I am so excited to be teaching fourth grade here at Prospect Elementary! This is my third year teaching at Propspect. I have also taught at Meridian Elementary where I taught first grade. Prior to my life as a teacher, I managed local non-profit organizations and worked in for-profit event planning.
I hold a B.A. in Elementary Education from Boise State University (Go Broncos!). Additionally, I hold a specialized endorsement in Literacy and Highly Qualified Status in Government and Social Studies from the Idaho Department of Education. I am currently working to earn my edorsements in Gifted & Talented Education. My goal is to harness children's natural curiosity to help develop life long learners. My favorite thing about teaching is watching the spark that happens when children are enthusiastic and curious about new knowledge and discovery. They just come alive! One of the best sounds is that of children reading aloud and learning cooperatively.
I am an Idaho Native. My favorite 4th grade subject was Idaho History; I am so pleased to get to pass on some of my own favorite experiences while teaching fourth grade! Growing up, I attended schools in both the (then) Meridian and Boise School Districts. I am a graduate of Borah High School in Boise. I am married and have two kids of my own, both girls. Jayden is a Propspect Alum and a a recent graduate of Idaho Fine Arts Academy; she will attend Boise State this year. Lily will be a third grader this year right here at Prospect. As a family, we love hiking, camping, volleyball, soccer, reading & creating stories, and family video game competitions.
I'm looking forward to a great year with your children!
