I am thrilled to be here Crossroads Middle School for my thrid year! Crossroads is an amazing school and we are all blessed to be here! This year I am teaching English 8, English 6 Writings Strategies and Reading, and Exploratory Communications 7. Before working at Crossroads, I worked at Lake Hazel Middle School, teaching English and Drama.

I graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelor's Degree in English Education. I am happily married to my husband Alex, and we have 2 cats named Ernie Banks and Mordecai Brown. My cats are names after former Chicago Cubs players. This leads me to some of my hobbies and passions!

BASEBALL! My husband and I are avid Chicago Cubs baseball fans. In addition, to my love of baseball, I love attending live theater productions locally such as Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Boise Contemporary Theater, and the Broadway in Boise tours. We also travel a lot! Some of the places I have been are Puerto Rico, Netherlands, Greece, St. Lucia, and many of the states in the United States. I love tasting new foods, trying cultural activities, and spending time with the locals, getting to know their culture. One of my favorite trips was when I hiked Gros Piton in Soufreire, St. Lucia. Most tourists turn around at the half point but we perservered to the top and it was well worth it. The Carribbean was breathtaking to gaze upon!

As an English teacher, it would be absurd to not mention my love for literature and writing. My love for English Arts has pushed me to explore new ideas of looking at humanity and the world, challenge myself to better understand myself as well as others, and deepen my appreciation of how language shapes culture.

Once again, I am thrilled to be here! Let's have a great year at Crossroads!
