Degrees and Certifications:
6-12 U.S. and World History K-8 Elementary M.Div. Intercultural Studies - Western Seminary B.S. Psychology - University of Idaho
Other than 3rd-6th grade just over the hill in Emmett, I grew up in the far north town of Priest River. After finishing the University of Idaho in 1989, I married a WSU girl, and together, we have lived in Washington, Alaska, Oregon, and Kyrgyzstan. There in Central Asia, I taught English as a second language to high school and university students for ten years, and in the process, fell in love with teaching.
After a 21-year absence, I returned to Idaho with my family in 2010. This is my third year teaching at Lowell Scott, but I have been working here as an assistant in the Positive Behavior Intervention program since 2011. I am excited to have taken up the role of teacher again after completing my certification. My wife, Michelle, works in the Title I program at Desert Sage Elementary; my son, Lucas, graduated from CWI; and my daughter, Malena, is studying at BSU despite my Vandal protests.
