My name is Ashley Kalinski. I am a fifth grade teacher at Discovery Elementary. In my opinion, fifth grade is the best! Teaching is my passion, and not something I take lightly. 

I was born and raised in Idaho. I grew up in Middleton, Idaho and graduated from Middleton High School in 2005. I attended my first year of college at TVCC in Ontario, Oregon and then transfered to Boise State in the Fall of 2006. As I worked toward my degree in elementary education I married my husband, Nick, in 2007, and had my son, Braxton, in 2012. I worked part time on my degree and full time earning money for 9 long years and finally graduated in May of 2015 from Boise State University with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education.

When I'm not at school I enjoy cooking, baking, gardening, playing games, going for walks, and learning new things.

I feel very blessed to be a part of the Discovery Elementary family and to have the oppurtunity to teach your children.
