Fostering Innovation

  • Learning a specific skill set is important, however as fast as the world is changing, students need to be flexible and ready for change. Learning to be more creative (which leads to more adaptable) now prepares students for beyond the classroom.

Schools and businesses throughout the world are latching onto this idea.  Many universities now have centers for innovation and creativity. Boise State now has a College of Innovation and Design, the University of Idaho has an Integrated Research and Innovations Center. Apple and other companies now give time to their employees to innovate and create.  In the West Ada School District we value innovative, creative learning and teaching.
