Mrs. van Santen
6th Grade Counselor
vansanten.madeline@westada.org
I am so thrilled to be a member of the LHMS community as your 6th grade counselor! Prior to this job, I counseled at an all-girls high school in Oakland, CA. My husband was raised in Boise, so we decided to come back to his hometown in 2019...and I love it! The hills, rivers, and people in Boise are incredible. I studied Education and Sociology at UC Berkeley and received my Masters in School Counseling at Saint Mary's College of CA. I practice academic and social-emotional counseling - so please come by my office if you need counseling for any issues personally, in the classroom, at home, and/or within friendships/relationships. I look forward to meeting you!

Ms. Hull
7th Grade Counselor
I started working as a school counselor in 2006. I was a high school teacher before that. I've been a school counselor at all grade levels, K-12, and I've been working at Lake Hazel Middle School since 2018. I'm here to help and support students in the areas of academic, social-emotional learning, and career exploration. I've lived in Boise since 1995. I have two kids -- my daughter attends an Idaho University and my son is almost ready to graduate from high school. When I'm not working, I like to work on projects like home renovations. I also enjoy all forms of art -- especially performing arts!

Ms. Zenner
8th Grade Counselor
I have worked for the West Ada School District since 2004. I have worked in a variety of roles but I love being a counselor the most. I began my career as a counselor at LHMS in 2011. I am here to help students with anything they need. I have two grown daughters who I enjoy visiting as often as I can. In my spare time I enjoy walking on Greenbelt, hiking in the foothill, or reading a good book. Come and see me anytime.
