September 17 Update - We WILL try and practice Friday
Because of poor air quality, football practice on Thursday September 17th will be cancelled.
We will try and practice on Friday Sept 18 at 3:30-5:15pm. This is not originally on the schedule but the kids want to practice, and coaches believe that we need to practice. The forecast is supposed to be better so we will try Friday.
If you have something planned that doesn't allow your son to come to practice, no problem, do what you had planned.
Any questions let me know
September 11 Update
The kids did a great job this week during the game. As coaches we appreciate their willingness to jump in where needed, play hard, and have fun. At this age that is what is most important.
**We would like to start practices beginning next week at 3:30pm. Based on the Yellow School Schedule some of the kids will be at school daily and some will be a home. Those that are at school it will not be issue starting practice at 3:30pm. Those that are at home will be learning asynchronously, which will allow them go through their classes at their own pace with more limited teacher instruction. Because of this they will be able to complete their school day at various time throughout the day and so getting to school for 3:30pm practice should be possible. It they are late to practice it is not a problem, we understand issues with transportation are there, just get them to practice as soon as possible.**
Next week our games are on Tuesday September 15 at Lewis & Clark Middle School. From here on the games are on Tuesday afternoons.
Since we are now in a Yellow School Schedule, on Tuesday some of the kids will be in school and some of the kids will be at home based on if you are Team 1 or Team 2. We do provide a bus to transport kids to the games. That bus leaves Victory at 3:30pm. ANYONE from either the A Team or the B Team is welcome to ride that bus. 3:30pm is the ONLY time a bus will be leaving Victory and transporting kids to the games. Parents are welcome to transport their kid to the game, they are not required to ride the bus.
The A Team needs to be at the Lewis & Clark football field dressed and ready to warmup at 3:45pm. The B Team needs to be at the Lewis & Clark football field dressed and ready to warmup at 5:30pm. After the completion of the B game the bus will be returning to Victory. Kids can ride home from the games with a parent. We will have a sign out sheet for parents who are taking their kids home with them. We want to know that you have you kid and it helps us know who we are expecting to be on the bus on the ride home.
The real key to the game day is making sure the kids are organized, they know how they are to get to and from the game, and if they are riding to the game with a parent they need to make sure they have their equipment with them. That means some of them may have to take equipment home Monday after practice.
Masks are required at the games. We have no idea how each school is going to enforce wearing masks but be prepared to do your part in making sure you can watch the game.
You should be receiving a message from the Victory Athletic Director with this information as well.
