Mr. Joshua Barro

Joshua Barro is a music educator and trombonist in the Treasure Valley. Mr. Barro earned his B.M. in Music Education from Boise State University. His primary focus is on music education K-12, but loves to perform on the trombone.

Currently, Mr. Barro is an active freelance musician and private instructor. During his time at Boise State, he studied trombone with Dr. David Mathie and Dr. Sarah Paradis. He performed in numerous ensembles including Symphonic Winds, Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Trombone Choir, Blue Thunder Marching Band, Brass Quintet and All-Campus Concert Band. He has also played with Opera Idaho and the Hymns of Thanksgiving Orchestra.

Previously, he taught 5th grade music and 5th grade band at Pioneer School of the Arts. Mr. Barro has also been maintaining a trombone studio since 2012.

During his free time, Mr. Barro enjoys photography, basketball, and travelling with his wife.
