Hello!  Welcome to CPAL.  I love teaching at Pioneer and I am excited for all the things that we will do this year.  I love all aspects of the performing arts; from performing, creating, listening and moving!  I firmly believe that participating in music, drama and dance classes will help students with all of their other studies.  Fine arts connect the brain and the body and the spirit!

I have enjoyed music and the performing arts all of my life.  Some of my most memorable times have been singing and acting in musicals or performing with symphonies like the Boise Philharmonic.  I am also a mother of 4 mostly grown up children and Grammy to five little boys and seven little girls.  Music has been a big part of their lives too.  I enjoy traveling, spending time in McCall at the family cabin, reading, singing, biking and kayaking.

CPAL stands for Composition-Performing Arts Lab and we will be doing all that and more this year!  Our primary instrument, besides our voice, is the piano keyboard. Every student will have the opportunity to work on their own keyboard; playing and composing songs.  In addition to keyboards, we will have our own class set of ukuleles thanks to Voya Financial!  We also study drama and dance.  We perform for each other and light up the stage in our fantastic grade level productions.
