Ms. Jenise Shupe

Greetings, my most amazing students!

Welcome to my webpage. This is my second year teaching at Centennial and I am so proud to be a part of our Patriot family.

This year I am teaching Honors English 9, English 10 and English 11. I am truly excited for the opportunity to explore a variety of topics, texts and themes alongside you, while teaching you to think critically about the world and your place in it. I believe that we all have a meaningful story to share and that we can learn more about who we are through establishing connections with the stories of others – both true and fictitious. Throughout our time together, you will also be exposed to my love of puns, fluency in sarcasm and hopeless meme addiction. You're welcome!

For those of you who are curious (and actually still reading this), I grew up here in the Treasure Valley, graduating from Borah High School many, many, MANY years ago. I currently live in Boise with my three daughters, ages 11, 15 and 19 and a sweet, but rambunctious Border collie named Mercie. In my spare time (when I have any), I enjoy reading and writing, spending time with my kids and my friends, epic road trip adventures, impromptu living room dance parties, yelling at the TV during football games (especially when my Seahawks are playing) and car karaoke jam sessions. I love thunderstorms, coffee, teaching, books and the ocean.

I value every one of my talented, incredible students (that's all of you!) and look forward to learning with you this year!
