Welcome to Discovery Elementary and our Second Grade classroom.  We will have a busy and exciting year as we wonder and learn about many new things.  One thing I am really excited about is doing some project-based learning.  These activities turn students into explorers, engineers, and artists while problem-solving.  They will develop new skills and grow in their knowledge as they have fun.  I am trying to add reading novel sets to help student to realize how much fun reading and discussing novels can be.  If you would like to donate to our classroom, you can follow this link to donate through the district and receive a significant tax break at the same time.  https://www.westada.org/domain/5977

I believe that all students want to learn if given the opportunity and method that excites them.  I have always been curious and I want to encourage my students to wonder and inquire about things they don't know or understand.  I am married and have two boys who have always been on the receiving end of my questioning and curiousity.  We have had a lot of fun exploring and going on adventures and I want to bring these experiences into my classroom as well.
