Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Dan L. Moore
I am extremely excited to be teaching my second year at Meridian Elementary. I have been teaching Physical Education for many years, and truly enjoy working with every student.
I have a passion for instilling in my students a lifetime love of movement and healthful activity. In my Physical Education classes - you will never see students sitting and just listening or watching. My program is very high paced, and the students are always involved in meaningful movement activities. I run a skills based program, which includes a great deal of fitness activities as well as competitive and non-competitve activities. In my classes - students will learn that having great sportsmanship is essential to having a lifetime love of movement and sports. Students will learn how to maintain and improve their personal fitness by being involved in fun activities to build strength, endurance, flexibility, and numerous skills that can be used in most sports or games.
In Health classes - students will be challenged to learn about how to take care of their personal bodies. They will also learn how to take care of their environment.
When I am not teaching - I enjoy spending time with my wife Lisa. We enjoy camping, bicycle riding, motorcycle riding, hanging out at our cabin in Cascade, and traveling. We have one Daughter who is married, and is a Doctor of Physical Therapy in Southern California.
