National Junior Honor Society is a national organization for 8th grade students. Students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and no major behavior violations will receive an invitation to apply during the spring semester of their 7th grade year. Applications received will be reviewed by the adviser (Mrs. Meyer) and then looked over by members of faculty council to finalize the top candidates. Due to class size, only a certain number of candidates will be accepted into the club. (around 32 max) Once accepted into the organization, students are required to maintain a GPA of 3.5 and above, complete 20 community service hours per semester and uphold the pillars of Citizenship, Character, Leadership, Service, and Scholarship.

Some examples of events NJHS partakes in each year are custodial help nights, volunteering at Idaho Youth Ranch, Pennies for Patients fundraiser, reading to students at Lake Hazel Elementary, and much more.
During the 2020-2021 school year, student council and NJHS put on a series of school-wide fundraisers for a student battling Leukemia. With the help of all students and staff, they were able to raise over $11,000 for this student. It was incredible!
