Degrees and Certifications:
I am a proud graduate of Boise State. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a Literacy Endorsement in 2014. In the summer of 2018, I reached my goal of earning my Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction.
Miss Lisa Strader
My name is Lisa Strader, and I am happy to join Victory Middle School this year. I'll be teaching sixth grade English Language Arts as well as Family and Consumer Sciences. One of the most important things you should know about me is...I love teaching!!! Teaching is my true passion. Along with teaching comes the reason we all come together--learning! I truly enjoy seeing students learn, hearing them dive into deep discussions, and seeing them help others learn as well. Every year I learn from my students, and that makes me a stronger teacher for the years to come.
Before becoming a certified teacher, I was always interested in teaching in some capacity. I taught martial arts from the time I was old enough to have a job until I graduated from Boise State. Teaching martial arts introduced me to my passion of helping others reach their goals. I also tutored math at Boise State for two years, and tutored reading privately. My six years of certified experience has all been in fifth grade so far. I loved teaching fifth grade, but I'm also so excited to transition to teach middle school students.
To make any year successful, communication is vital. I love to use the analogy of a three-legged stool to symbolize why our communication is so important. The students, their families, and teachers represent the three legs of the stool. Without one, the stool doesn't stand up to support learning! Please never hesitate to contact me if you ever have questions about your child's learning. Let's work together to make this year fantastic!
