Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Mr. Blitman I am excited to be working in the West Ada School district this year. I am a graduate of the Universality of Idaho and hold a degree in Agricultural Education. I grew up not far here surrounded by farmland between Meridian and Kuna. I am an avid outdoorsman and although I enjoy any outdoor activity, mountaineering, backpacking, and cycling are my favorites. I also enjoy the sport of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and hold a blue belt.
Agriculture was a huge part of my life growing up. I have worked on a farm, showed sheep and participated in both 4-H and FFA. In high school I was also heavily involved in FFA, attending State, District, and National events multiple times. I was very active in the University of Idaho’s Colligate FFA program. I got the opportunity to help run District, State, and National FFA events. I am a third generation teacher and grew up in the world of education. I guess it's no surprise that I ended up teaching agriculture. As a first year teacher I am very excited to start my carrier and help make student's lives better.
My educational philosophy is centered around guiding the students and helping them take responsibility of their own learning. I will strive to make an environment where students feel safe and can effectively learn. I believe in using a variety of teaching styles from lecture to hands on activities. I do my best to keep my classes as engaging as possible and focus on real world applicable skills and problem solving. I believe in teaching my classes with the three-circle model. I believe this system give students the most well rounded education possible and prepares students best for success in the real world.
