Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Hollopeter, Desmond
After teaching 12 years in southeastern Arizona, my wife and I decided to move closer to family and better schools.
Eagle High School presents a worthwhile challenge to work with and learn from with large groups of students.
Facilitating critical thinking, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills would not be possible without collaborating with an exceptional group of professional, dedicated teachers.
I believe that education is a shared partnership between students, parents, teachers, counselors, administrators, and support staff.
I believe that effective teachers strive to constantly learn, and model to students the importance of learning from mistakes and contantly trying to improve.
Even though the lessons and content of history may focus on events from the past, I try to find contemporary articles and examples that help students understand the relevance of key moments and concepts today.
I hope to help prepare your students to be more informed and active participants in their communities and decision-making at a local and national level. I also hope to provide the skills to encourage greater lifelong learning, responsibility, and adaptability to life's challenges.
