Mrs. Pinkert-Branner

Hello, LCMS families! My name is Tricia Pinkert-Branner (Señora PB) and this is my 2nd year teaching Spanish at Lewis and Clark Middle School.
I bring a creative and research-based approach to language acquisition to LCMS by focusing on building conversational skills through whole language/immersion, using cross-curricular connections, and incorporating real-world experiences. At LCMS, students will study Spanish using music, movement, art, science, math, as well as technology. 8th grade students will be earning high school credit and will focus on proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. 7th grade students enrolled in the 9-week Exploratory Spanish class will study the language and culture through our passport project.

Apart from being a Spanish teacher, I am a painter and potter, former ballet dancer, musician and singer, avid researcher, proud wife of a retired military member, and a busy mom of two rambunctious teenage boys. I love Star Wars, Doctor Who, Star Trek, collecting wacky hats, playing lacrosse, watching soccer, playing Star Wars Battlefront, and traveling. My family and I live in Boise with our dog, Jack, and our three cats, Darth Kittious, Princess Leia, and Bubba Fett. I look forward to working with all of you this year!
