Lowell Scott, the West Ada School District, and the Idaho High School Athletics Association (IHSAA) are all keeping a close watch on the ongoing pandemic and the social distancing requirements that the state has in place. At this time, the district and the school are planning on a fall season for sports as we usually have with the understanding that there could be a change at any time. Fall schedules for football, cross country, volleyball, cheer, and dance are current and up to date, but please check your email, the newsletters coming from LSMS and the district, and of course, the LSMS website and this Athletics page for changes or possible cancellations.Below is the fall schedule that we are planning on having (C volleyball games will be determined by the number of C teams on at the middle schools throughout the district and will be added in August when we have those numbers). We will have a meeting for student-athletes and parents and guardians on the evening of Thursday, August 6th for all fall sports. At this time, we're planning on beginning in the Hoyle Gym at 5:30 pm and then will split into your sports and teams to meet your coaches and get specific information. Paperwork will be available for you to fill out and hand in. If you are not able to be at the Fall Sports Meeting, your student-athlete is still able to participate in athletics. They will simply need to have paperwork filled out and signed with them when they show up at the first practice on the following days:Football: Monday, August 10 at 3:00 pm on the football field behind the schoolVolleyball: Thursday, August 13 at 10:00 am. 7th graders in the Hoyle Gym and 8th graders in the Auxiliary GymCross Country: Thursday, August 12 at 3:00 pm behind the main school buildingDance: Tryouts will be held the first couple of weeks of school.
