Ms. Courtney Wamhoff

Welcome!  I am one of the 6th grade English Language Arts teachers at Eagle Middle School for the 2018- 2019 school year.  It is my pleasure to work alongside Marcy Pishl and Trina Hallenberger to meet the ELA needs of our 6th graders.

Previously, I spent the last 12 years teaching Special Education here at Eagle Middle School and love working with the administrators, staff and students here at EMS!  I graduated from BSU in 2006 with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Elementary Education (with endorsements in Special Education: mild to moderate and severe to profound).

This year I am excited to teach an advisory class and three periods each of Literature and Strategies and Writing Composition.  Advisory is a twenty-minute daily meeting time for students and their teachers.  Advisory serves as a home base for students, offering them the opportunity to develop personal, social, academic, and study skills that will help them make a successful transition from an elementary to a middle school setting.   In Literature and Strategies, we will focus on reading strategies and comprehension skills.  Students will read from various genres.  Writing Composition focuses on the writing process, modes of writing, writing traits, and language usage.

Please feel free to call or email me (Wamhoff.Courtney@westada.org) with any questions or concerns.
