Heidi Hill ..... a bit about me
I been active in the West Ada School District for over 15 years. I volunteered in classrooms, then became active in the PTO. Eventually, I started subbing and then became the Computer Teacher. After 3 years, I became the Librarian at Chief Joseph. Our Library at CJE was previously run by the very devoted and very dedicated, Kris Miller. I like to say that I work in the library that Kris built. I am a proud graduate of BSU with a B.S. in Health Information Management and an A.S. in Health Info Technology. Previous to my time at CJE, I worked at MHAFB Hospital as a Medical Coder, Cancer Registrar, and supervisor of the Inpatient Records/Transcription Dept.
Both of my amazing kids went to Chief Joseph. My daughter, Delaney, is now a sophmore nursing student at NNU in Nampa. My son, Tanner, is a senior at ISU in Pocatello. We enjoy playing games, traveling, reading, and just hanging out. I also like to garden, cook, do puzzles, and research various topics.
I love to help students find the perfect book. Sometimes this takes lots of questions and a little research. My goal is that every student finds THE BOOK that makes them think, cry, laugh, relate to, wonder, whatever emotion or feeling they are looking for. The BOOK that makes students want to find other books to read and cherish. I have a wonderful and very fulfilling job!
Parent volunteers are always welcome, just contact me before so I can plan for you. Your children know my door is always open and I love to help them find any book or answer any questions that they might have. I'm often asked if I take new and used book donations. YES! If I can't use the particular books in the library, I will make sure that a student or teacher puts the book to good use.
