Mrs. Jiron
Hello! My name is Lacey Jiron. This is my first year teaching English learners and I am so excited to begin my career here at Chief Joseph! I graduated from Boise State University in May of 2018 and earned a degree in Elementary Bilingual/ESL education. I am cartified to teach English learners in K-8th grade. During my professional year at Boise State University, I taught third and first graders in a dual language program. This experience allowed me to refine and gain more confidence in my Spanish skills, as most of my instruction was done in Spanish. Completing a first degree in Spanish language gave me insight into the additional challenge that second language learners have when trying to learn the language needed for success in schools. I help students grow in their confidence as learners by providing opportunities for them to self-reflect, set goals, and celebrate their achievements. I look forward to celebrating all the successes that will happen during my first year at Chief Joseph!
