Mrs. Kelsey Payne
Welcome to Eagle Hills Elementary School Resource Room. My name is Kelsey Payne and I am very excited to be teaching at Eagle Hills this year!
My husband, my 2 dachshunds, and I moved here from Cody, Wyoming this summer. I am thrilled for this new adventure to share with your child. I taught for 9 years in the Wyoming school district as a Special Education Teacher and have been able to teach a variety of students with distinctive and unique learning needs. People with special needs have always held a special place in my heart.
Billings, Montana is where I was born and raised. I worked as the CARE Academy Program Site-Director at the Billings school district, a Family Support Specialist with Children and Families with Special Needs (Birth-Age 21) at a non-profit corporation, and in the Learning Clinic (K-6) and Reading Clinic (K-6) at Montana State University- Billings.
I graduated October of 2015 from Walden University with a Master of Science in Education degree and a specialization in Special Education (K-12). I received my Bachelor’s degree in May of 2008 from Montana State University-Billings with a degree in Special Education (K-12) as well as Art Education (K-12). After graduating, I had the amazing opportunity to teach students in New Zealand for 4+ months.
I have a passion for education with a desire to see all my students reach their fullest potential. I believe that all students are capable of learning, just some in different ways and at different rates. I am looking forward to a year of learning, fun, and adventures! Here's to a fabulous year!
