A little about me....

My husband and I have 6 amazing children (2 girls and 4 boys, ages 21 to 8) and 2 lovable, crazy dogs.

I was born and raised in Everett, Washington, and as an adult have lived all over (including Utah, Chicago, Washington DC, Indiana, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Virginia).  But 12 years ago, when we moved to Idaho, I knew I found my home.  I LOVE Idaho.

I also love playing volleyball, cheering on my favorite sports teams (Boise State Broncos, BYU Cougars, University of Washington Huskies, and the Seattle Seahawks) and spending time at the beach and in the mountains.

I have always loved to read and have at least one book I am reading at all times. I try to read my favorite book, The Secret Garden, every spring.

21 years ago, I stopped working outside the home and stayed at home full-time to raise our 6 kids.  Three years ago, I started working as a substitute teacher for West Ada School District.  This past summer I finished renewing my teaching certificate (after it expired 18 years ago).  I am now certified to teach K-8 in both Utah and Idaho.

Our library at CDSA has been privileged to be under the devoted and loving care of Priscilla Robinson, until she retired at the end of last year.  I consider it an honor to carry on her legacy of finding and fostering the reader and learner within each of us.
