Ms. Amber Simonich

My name is Amber Simonich, and I am new this year to Eagle High School where I will be teaching Study Center.  Previously I taught in Emmett for four years,  after which my kids and I moved to Middleton where I taught for the past two years before coming here to Eagle High.  I am really excited to be here, and to get to be a part of this great school district and community (GO MUSTANGS!).  I grew up in Idaho and attended college on a track scholarship in southern Colorado for two years before transferring to the University of Utah where I finished up my running career and my degree. Upon graduating, I started a family and moved to Georgia for five years where I was able to be a stay-at-home mom before eventually getting back into the workplace and into teaching.  Along with teaching, I have also had the pleasure of getting to coach cross country/track.  I am currently the head cross country coach at Middleton High School, and absolutely love it.  I have always loved getting to work with youth, and find great satisfaction in teaching them, helping them realize their potential and reach their goals, and hopefully making it fun along the way.  When I'm not in teacher/coach mode, I do have a lot of other things going on :)  First and foremost I am Mom to my three awesome kiddos.  They are pretty much my world, and I am one lucky mama.  My favorite thing is getting to spend time with them, and I can most often be found at one of their sporting events cheering on the sidelines in #1 fan mode.  I am a big sports fan (Boston Celtics - best team ever!), and I love to wakeboard, snowboard, go for runs, watch movies, read, travel (I'll go anywhere), play games, and just spend time with family and friends.  I am excited to be here at EHS, and am looking forward to a great school year!  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks,

Ms. Simonich
