Degrees and Certifications:
I joined Centennial High School in 2017 as Swim Team Head Coach. In the 2018-2019 school year I am teaching Engineering, where the shop used to be.
The high technology industry was my career for 30 years. During my career I worked for IBM, Hewlett Packard Company, Agilent Technologies, Marvell Semiconductor and sold businesses for a short period.
Working with young adults helps me feel younger, besides teaching and coaching the swim team at Centennial, I'm also a USA Swimming Meet Referee. As Adjunct Professor for Northwest Nazarene University, I have taught or am teaching statistics, business operations, engineering and mathematics.
I am married and have two teenagers myself, one attending Centennial and the older one is studying at the University of Utah.
I hold a Bachelors degree with dual majors in Mathematics and Computer Science from the State University of NY, Potsdam. As an HP fellow I earned a Masters of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Massachusetts.
I teach Introduction to Engineering Design (IED) and Principles of Engineering (POE), "A" days are filled with IED and "B" days find me teaching both IED and a couple of sessions of POE.
