Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Ann Lulay
My name is Mrs. Ann Lulay, but I go by "Ms. Ann" in my class. I am starting my twelth year teaching special education, and my first year for West Ada School District. I truly love teaching special ed. I started the profession as a paraprofessional and loved it so much that I went back to school to complete my bachelors degree in Liberal Studies at California State University in San Marco, (CSUSM). After my BA, I attended, National University in Carlsbad California where I earned a general education prelimary teaching credential (K-8th grade). From there, I went back to CSUSM where I earned my mild/moderate and my moderate/severe teaching credentials. Over the years working in a non-public school and at a elementary school working with significantly challenged students, I have learned three things. One, all children can learn, and it is my job to figure out how each student learns best and provide those opportunities throughout the school day in multiple environments. Two, I cannot teach our students without the help of others, such as paraprofessionals, general educaiton teachers, school psychologists, speech and lanaguage therapists, peer tutors to name a few. And three, I have learned that it is the partnerships we create with families, caregivers, and others that make the greatest difference. It is working together as a team where I have seen the greatest growth in our students. I look forward to this incredible journey we will take together, and I want you to know that I will work hard every day to teach your child so that they can reach their fullest potential.
