Our students at Rocky have many different needs. We use Purposity, which allows anyone to purchase specific needs for our students. You will receive a receipt for tax purposes as well! Please see below for more information.

What is Purposity?
- Purposity is a Website that links the needs of students with potential donors.
- Purposity is the belief that mankind finds purpose through generosity.

How does Purposity Work?
- Create an account on www.purposity.com and subscribe to West Ada.
- Once you register as a Purposity user you will get a text once a week with a link to Student needs in West Ada School District.
- Click on the link and read the story of the individual student.
- Decide if you want to help with this need.
- If Yes, you will click on “purchase now” and will be taken to the Amazon site to make the Purchase.
What Kinds of Needs will be posted to Purposity?
- Individual student needs. All requests will be under $250.
- Shoes
- Clothing items
- Sports equipment
- shoes for sports
- Parenting Teens need for diapers, or other baby items
- Graphing calculator
All requests for assistance will be vetted through West Ada School Social Workers.

- Purposity does not charge people to participate.
- Purposity is a non-profit and does not receive funding from Amazon or any other portion of purchases made through the system.
- private donors fund the purposity Website and System.
- All purchases made through purposity are tax deductible

What other groups help students in West Ada?
- Project Kids is able to fund items over $250. Project kids also can help homeless families with Emergency food, household items, small amounts of rent or deposit $, outstanding utility bills, etc.
- Bridging the Gap, West Ada Education Foundation can also fund items for individual students such as Pay to Play Fees, rental fees for instruments, etc.
- Point S (BruneEl Tire Factory) sponsors a Coat Drive in November and December.
- Kiwanis Club of Meridian and Eagle sponsor a school supply Drive in August.
- Assistance League of Boise provide clothing for elementary age Students through Operation School Bell. They also provide school supplies to k-8 schools through Operations School Supplies. Finally, they provide Teen Sized Clothing for students in middle school in January.
- The Closet provides gently used teen sized clothing. Students call for individual appointments.
- Meridian Food Bank provides week-end Backpack food for students during the school year.
How is Purposity different than….
- Purposity is another way for West Ada School Social Workers and School Counselors to meet the needs of students.
- The items that will be funded through purposity will be less than $250 and purchased on Amazon.Com.
