Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Kirsti Kornak

Hello! I have had the pleasure of being a teacher for 28 years. I have worked in many different positions throughout the years. My teaching career started at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where I received my undergraduate teaching degree. From there, I taught 2nd grade in Phoenix, AZ. I taught there for 10 years and during that time I received my Masters Degree in Education with a focus on curriculum from the University of Arizona. I  also received my ELL (English Language Learners) endorsement from the University of Arizona. I moved to Boise, Idaho in 2002 and have worked for the West Ada School District ever since. In the West Ada District,  have worked as a Title I teacher for 15 years and for the past 4 years I have been the EL teacher for Kindergarten through 2nd grade. This year I am the Title 1 teacher. I feel very fortunate to have such a rewarding job. With every new day,  with every new year, with every new student ... there is always something new to learn and to smile about!
