Dear Students and Families,
I am so excited to welcome you to second grade through West Ada's Virtual School House. Second grade is a very important year for you. Our class will be learning about many exciting things this year. We will be exploring animals, plants, erosion, and weather in science; creating visual art throughout our investigations; developing fantastic math strategies; and reading and writing about so many interesting topics. Although our classroom learning will look a little bit different this year, I am confident that we will adapt and have an immersive, fun, creative and fufilling experience together.
I believe in fostering a close classroom community and creating a safe place. We learn, grow, make mistakes and try new things in second grade . I will work with you to build a growth mindset classroom with many arts integrated learning experiences.
This is my second year teaching. I am thrilled to be a part of this immersive new Virtual School House. My husband and I have four children and three of them attend school at Pioneer. As a family we love to play in the river, have dance parties, and go hiking. Some of my favorite things to do include; playing piano, trying a new restaurant, playing games, and reading a great book.
I am looking forward to our year in second grade together. It will be a year of growth, challenge, and building community. Our classroom motto this year is 'We can do hard things!'. I am excited to learn and grow with you. I can't wait to meet you!
For the grown-ups!
