Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Nancy Wylder

Welcome back Chiefs! Let's dive into the 2020-2021 school year adventure together!

It's going to be a exciting school year and I'm so happy to be here with you no matter what challenges life throws at us this year. This is my third year working at MMS, there is no other group of students and facilty I would rather be with, I'm so proud to be amoung you. A little to know about me, I spent my childhood in North Dakota where much of my extended family still lives. After high school I had some great years on the road, exploring our wonderful country and working in National Parks. I received my undergraduate diploma from Arizona State University and moved here with my son four years ago. My sister, niece, dad all live in this wonderful state and my 11 year old and I enjoy playing cribbage with them and spending time exploring the many wonderful outdoor activities this state provides us. You may also see me reading and drinking massive amounts of coffee in my spare time!

I'm super excited to be teaching Math and World Civilizations this year, two subjects which seem to cause kiddos grief or be "boring." Every student in my class has the potential to be a mathematician and a historian as long as they come willing to learn, expect to learn not only from Ms. Wylder but from each other because often our best ways of learning come from ways not yet explored. My classroom is a safe zone where we encourage each other to grow as learners and look at things from a different perspective.

Finally, please reach out to me with any questions. I am always here for students and their families. We can, we will, we are Chiefs!
