Ms. Lindsay Watsabaugh
Dear students & families,
Welcome to our classroom! I am thrilled about the opportunity to get to know you and I’m looking forward to a happy and productive school year! We will learn so many new and exciting things together. This is my first year teaching fifth grade, but I taught fourth grade for the past four years so it won't be too different! I DO know that we will expand our minds through discovery and teamwork!
I also think it’s important to work together as a classroom family. We will be spending a lot of time together, so it is important to treat each other with respect, kindness, and compassion. I know that each of you have a different brain, which means you think and learn differently. It is my job as your teacher to help you grow as a learner and as a person of good character.
What about me? I was born and raised in Jackson, WY (so was my dad!) and I simply love the mountains! When I’m not teaching and planning for lessons, you can find me outside enjoying the fresh air! I love to hike, bike, camp, raft, skate ski, & snowboard. I’m learning how to telemark ski but it is MUCH harder than it looks! I love to spend time with my husband, Ian and our 5-year old daughter, Lily, and 6-month old son, Liam. My stepkids, Anne (17) & Parker (15) join us in the summer, over Christmas break, and for a week in the spring. Our furry family member, Bruce always manages to tag along on our adventures as well!
I can’t wait to get to know you and your family over the coming weeks! I know we will work together to make this the best year ever!
Please don't hesitate to reach out shoud you have any questions or concerns.
