Degrees and Certifications:
This is my second year as the Drug Prevention Counselor at Rebound School of Opportunity.
I am from Iowa and moved to Idaho in 2010. I earned my B.A in Psychology from Iowa State University and my M.S in School Counseling and Rehabilitation Counseling from Drake University.
I have spent most of my career working with at-risk teenagers. Before moving to Idaho, I worked in residential treatment centers assisting teenagers with severe psychiatric disabilities. Once I moved to Idaho, I worked for the state assisting high school students and adults with disabilities achieve their employment goals. I believe that the relationship I build with students and families are the key to helping students achieve their goals and overcome the barriers in life such as drug, alcohol and tobacco use. I am thrilled to be working with students at Rebound.
I have a husband, one young daughter, 2 dogs and 5 backyard chickens. I love spending time with my family, traveling, doing anything water related, seeing live music, eating good food and relaxing.
